To celebrate international Record Store Day, the store will open from 9am to 7pm on Saturday, April 18th.
Keeping the party going throughout the day will be a host of vinyl DJs and live performances curated by PressPlayRepeat, covering every genre from downtempo, soul, disco, house, hip-hop, rock and indie.
Over 200 new releases will be in store on the day, many for the first time ever and some that haven’t existed in years. Irish highlights include the incredibly rare first EP from CMAT (released independently in 2021), Amble’s 2025 EP released on vinyl for the first time, and The Mary Wallopers’ debut EP on vinyl for the very first time.
Other international releases include artists such as Sleep Token, Charli XCX, TV Girl, Ethel Cain, Olivia Dean and Tate McRae.
Cape & Clover will be providing hot drinks from the get-go for the first 50 customers.
In-store, there will also be free beginner classes on how to use vinyl and learn how to DJ, provided by music collective onemorechoon. Email info@steamboat.ie
to book a slot.
Live Acts Announced So Far
God Knows – 1pm
Our first live performance comes from Shannon native God Knows, celebrating the release of his brand new album with an intimate in-store set.
Fusing African sentiments and rhythms from Zimbabwe with the surrounding Irish landscape, his debut LP A Future Of The Past showcases his storytelling and ability to craft an ever-changing sonic landscape.
We can’t wait for him to share his stories on the 18th, along with a chat — and we’ll have copies of the LP available.
First Class Rebel – 2:30pm
The creative vision of Irish musician Ian Burke, First Class Rebel is a one-man force — writing, performing, and shaping a towering wall of sound built from layered guitars, hypnotic rhythm, and cinematic distortion.
Debut single Shadows Fade introduced his shadowy intensity, while follow-up Alive expanded into a euphoric surge of sound, earning strong press support and national airplay. Now, third single Control raises the stakes again — brash, punchy and relentless before exploding into an anthemic crescendo.
First Class Rebel isn’t simply building a catalogue — he’s building momentum.
Irish Wonders – 5:30pm
Hailing from Dublin, Irish Wonders bring creativity and flair from across Europe. The electronic trio — Leonardo Biagini, Brian Doyle and Alina Troianenko — immerse themselves in their craft, operating from their HQ @unit.twozero.
Their releases are available on Beatport and other streaming platforms, blending ambient, trance and electronica into a sound that evokes the Irish landscape.
We cannot wait to hear them live this Record Store Day.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic, family-friendly day — and it’s all free.
More announcements to come. Find us on Instagram for further details.
