‘Quartet Plus Two’ is the second project from Orbiting Human Circus, a band centred around Neutral Milk Hotel member, The Music Tapes leader and sometime podcaster Julian Koster. Borne from an encounter in NYC’s Central Park with jazz musicians Gauvain Gamon and Kolja Gjoni, it features the singing saws of which Koster has always been so fond, which form the core of a kind of weird symphonic jazz.
