We believe that great cultural experiences bring people together. Founded by local students, Ventnor Exchange has been shaking things up since 2010, a truly grassroots project on a mission to bring about change, which has grown to become one of the Island’s leading arts organisations. We want to transform our town and the Isle of Wight with more opportunities for everyone to be creative and learn new skills. We’re obsessed with music, and our record store has been with us since the beginning. Sharing the space with our cafe, we proudly stock new and newly reissued music across a wide range of genres, focusing on contemporary music that excites us; jazz, post-punk, psychedelia, rap, funk, rock, afrobeat, experimental and pretty much anything else. We get new deliveries every week and also offer world wide delivery via our online store. As a not for profit organisation, we reinvest everything back into our projects, including Ventnor Fringe Festival, where the town hosts emerging bands, stand-up, circus, immersive theatre and Edinburgh previews, and Brave Island, our programme which provides young people on the Isle of Wight free mentoring, work placements, workshops, trips and opportunities every single week.
