Last updated: 27 August 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of recordstoreday.co.uk and related MyRSD services (together, the "Site").
The Site is operated by the Entertainment Retailers Association ("ERA", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 2268007.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact page at /contact or to admin@eraltd.org.
Who may use the Site
The Site is intended for users in the United Kingdom and Ireland and for anyone interested in Record Store Day and independent record shops. You must be at least 13 years old to create a MyRSD account. If you are under 18, you should use the Site with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Some features (such as purchasing Record Tokens or joining a shop team account) may require you to be 18 or older, or to have authority to enter into a contract on behalf of a business.
What the Site provides
Record Store Day UK is a promotional and community platform for independent record shops, exclusive releases, events, and related content. ERA organises Record Store Day in the UK & Ireland; individual releases are sold by participating shops, not by ERA through this Site.
Release listings, shop profiles, event information, images, and editorial content are provided for general information. Details may change without notice. Listing a release on the Site does not guarantee that any particular shop will stock it or have stock available on a given date.
Shop opening times, prices, in-store policies, and fulfilment of orders placed directly with shops are the responsibility of each shop. ERA is not a party to transactions between you and a participating store except where you purchase Record Tokens from us as described below.
MyRSD accounts
MyRSD is the personal account area of the Site. When you register, you must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, passkeys, and two-factor authentication devices, and for all activity under your account.
You must not create an account using someone else's identity or email address without permission, share login credentials, or allow others to use your account.
If you enable a public profile, information you choose to display (such as display name, avatar, activity counts, wishlist, check-in photos, and posters) may be visible to other visitors. You can change public visibility in MyRSD settings. Leaderboard rankings on MyRSD may show your display name and points among other members.
We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict access to features, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Site, attempted to interfere with its operation, or created risk or legal exposure for ERA or other users.
You may delete your account at any time from MyRSD settings at /home/settings, subject to any team ownership rules that apply to shop accounts.
Acceptable use
You may use the Site for lawful personal or internal business purposes in line with these Terms. Unless we give you written permission, you must not:
copy, scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically download content from the Site; use automated tools to access the Site in a way that imposes an unreasonable load; attempt to bypass security, authentication, or access controls; reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Site except where permitted by law; upload malware or interfere with the Site's infrastructure; use the Site to send spam or unsolicited communications; harass, threaten, or abuse other users or ERA staff; or use the Site for any unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose.
We may investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
User content and community features
Some features allow you to submit or generate content, including profile information, store check-in photos, shop favourites, wishlists, festival poster designs, and responses submitted through contact forms.
You are responsible for content you submit. You must only upload content you have the right to share and that is accurate, lawful, and respectful. Do not submit content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, hateful, or that reveals personal data about others without consent.
Store check-ins must reflect genuine visits. Photo check-ins may be reviewed before they are shown publicly. We may remove, decline to publish, or disable access to content that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably consider inappropriate.
By submitting content to the Site, you grant ERA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Site and Record Store Day. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where we are required to retain copies for legal, security, or backup reasons.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, ERA and its licensors own the Site, its design, branding, software, databases, and original editorial content. Record Store Day names, logos, and related marks are used under the control of ERA and its partners.
Release artwork, artist names, label names, and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners and are shown on the Site for identification and promotional purposes.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial licence to access and use the Site and to share links to pages using the sharing tools we provide. You must not remove copyright or proprietary notices, or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our written consent.
Notifications and marketing
If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails about Record Store Day and related news. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or through your account settings.
Service messages (such as account verification, password resets, order confirmations, and important service notices) may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing.
Push notifications, in-app notifications, and shop notification subscriptions are optional and can be managed in MyRSD settings. Delivery depends on your device, browser, and notification permissions.
Record Token purchases
Record Tokens are gift products sold by ERA through the Site and redeemable at participating independent record shops in the United Kingdom, subject to the terms printed with the token and any applicable shop policies.
To purchase Record Tokens you must sign in to a MyRSD account and complete checkout at /record-tokens/checkout. You must provide accurate delivery details for a UK address. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. An order is confirmed when payment is successfully completed and the order status is marked as paid. You will receive a receipt by email.
Physical Record Tokens are dispatched to the delivery address you provide. Risk in the tokens passes to you on delivery. If your order is lost, damaged, or incorrect, contact us promptly through /contact so we can investigate.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer law, including your rights in relation to faulty goods or misdescription. Statutory cancellation rights may not apply once sealed Record Tokens have been dispatched to you, but this does not affect your rights if the goods are faulty or not as described.
Record Tokens have no cash value, are not refundable except where required by law or at our discretion, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Participating shops decide how tokens are redeemed in store.
Shop and industry accounts
Participating record shops and industry users may access team accounts by invitation. If you accept an invitation, you agree to use shop dashboard features responsibly and only for the store or organisation you represent.
Shop profile information you submit must be accurate and kept up to date. You must have authority to publish store details, images, events, Meet the Team content, and notifications on behalf of the shop.
Shop-submitted notifications, store updates, events, and Meet the Team content are reviewed by platform administrators before they are published or sent to subscribers. ERA may decline, edit, or remove shop content that is misleading, inappropriate, or inconsistent with Record Store Day policies.
Where you submit a Retail Code of Conduct registration (online form or uploaded signed document), you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to submit it for the shop. We may store and use those submissions to administer participation.
Separate commercial terms, codes of conduct, and registration fees may apply to shops and labels participating in official Record Store Day campaigns. Those arrangements are managed outside these Terms unless expressly incorporated by reference.
Third-party services and links
The Site links to third-party websites and services, including independent record shops, Spotify, social networks, ticket sellers, map providers, and payment providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Your use of Stripe during checkout is subject to Stripe's terms. Features that embed or link to Spotify, YouTube, or other platforms are subject to those providers' rules.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, be withdrawn, or be offered on a trial basis. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability.
We may update the Site, these Terms, and our policies from time to time. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, where permitted by law.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we use reasonable care in presenting information, we do not warrant that release details, shop information, event listings, or other content are complete, current, or free from errors.
ERA is not responsible for the availability of releases or events at individual shops, actions of participating stores, or losses arising from reliance on information on the Site except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
If you use the Site as a consumer, you have legal rights and remedies in respect of goods and services supplied by us (including Record Tokens). These Terms do not affect those rights.
Subject to the paragraphs above, ERA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Site.
Subject to the paragraphs above, ERA's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to ERA through the Site in that period, or (b) one hundred pounds (£100), except where a higher limit is required by law.
Indemnity
If you breach these Terms or misuse the Site, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ERA, its directors, employees, and agents against reasonable losses, claims, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach, your content, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using the Site you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
General
If any part of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations where necessary for a reorganisation, merger, or sale of assets.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ERA regarding use of the Site, except for any separate written agreement we enter into with you.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may bring claims in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of the country where you live if that country is in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area and mandatory consumer protection rules give you that right.
If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Site, subject to any mandatory laws.
