Keywords that could be associated with our shop are - COMMUNITY! LAUGHTER! SOCIAL! NOSTALGIA! On most days you will now find 2 of us in the shop (my bro-in-law Martin, and myself). We try (sometimes fail) to create a sense of silliness in the air, as we get on well despite our football allegiances! We would like to think that visitors enjoy the chit-chat and non-pressured buying experience, which allows them to flick through our racks at their leisure. It doesn’t stop us trying to encourage them to check out things that we think they’d like. Despite us having stock of roughly 70% of new/reissued products, there is a sprinkling of nostalgia dotted around the shop. This comes from displaying a good selection of vintage music newspapers and magazines (Record Mirror, Look-in, Melody Maker, Smash Hits etc), among our ever-increasing selection of pre-loved albums (our aim is to get closer to a 50/50 split), singles, cassettes and CDs. Our shop window always has a chart from a vintage newspaper on display, which seems to attract many a passer-by as they reminisce. We’ve had the business over 3 years now, and this will be our fourth RSD - WOW, where has that time gone?! There’s a great bunch of regulars, and our “V&V friends” circle is ever-increasing. Long may that continue!
