ALBUM OF THE MONTH: NIALL HORAN - DINNER PARTY
DINNER IS SERVED...
Landing in record shops across the UK this June,
Dinner Party
- the fourth solo album from Niall Horan - is Record Store Day’s Album of the Month!
Released via Capitol Records, the album arrives following another huge few years for Horan, whose solo career has seen him move from arena headliner to one of the biggest names in modern pop.
Cinematic yet organic in tone,
Dinner Party is built around conversation, connection and the moments that sit somewhere between chaos and clarity. Speaking about the album, Horan describes it as “a thank you to the past and a hello to the present,” exploring “the big life events and the small, sometimes messy, in-between moments that actually make them up.”
Led by the title track, the album leans into themes of love, uncertainty and reflection, with songs that unfold in a relaxed, understated style. Written after turning 30,
Dinner Party feels more personal and grounded, while still carrying the melodic songwriting that has defined Horan’s solo work to date.
Since stepping out on his own, Horan has quietly become one of the biggest success stories to emerge from One Direction, with multiple chart-topping albums, sold-out arena tours and more than 90 million records sold worldwide.
Dinner Party continues that run while stripping things back a little, leaning into warmth, honesty and atmosphere.
Dinner Party is released June 5 and will be available from
participating record shops
on an indie-exclusive ‘Wine Glass’ coloured vinyl variant, featuring an alternate cover.
